The Corporate IT Forum was initiated in 1996 by some of the largest corporate users of IT creating a confidential, vendor-free environment in which IT professionals could exchange practical and strategic intelligence. The clear business benefits of participating in the Forum attracted an increasing number of organisations and now exceeds 150 large corporate businesses with over €1,000 billion in revenue, €35 billion annual expenditure on IT products and services and who collectively employ 100,000 people in IT.
The Project.
The Forum needed to raise it’s profile among large organisations in order to attract new subscribers and increase the awareness Forum services within the existing subscriber base. The confidential nature of the organisation meant that it could not reveal the names of existing members making marketing based on the quality of membership difficult.

When it comes to the oil business, they don’t come much bigger than BP. In 1990 the company embarked on the most business critical project in its history, The ESP Project. The company was to change its entire transaction and accounting systems from mainframe, country and business specific systems to a client server based system with a common framework throughout Europe. Communications were critical to the entire venture. It was vital to gain support and co-operation from the boardroom to the garage forecourt if the project was to gain business acceptance.
The Project.
The brief was to communicate the progress and aims of the ESP to management and staff across 5 businesses in 17 European countries. In addition, we were to co-ordinate communications with Oracle Corporation in California who were creating the accounting system. Our role was to report on the progress and communicate the aims of the project. In addition we canvassed and evaluated opinions and concerns from system users and business stakeholders.

Xara Group is one of last remaining graphics software companies in the UK. It markets its products to a global market exclusively through the Internet and a small channel network. The business specialises in the production of world leading Graphics and Internet Graphics software.
The Project.
Xara needed to ramp up its Internet marketing activity in order to continue the development of innovative, new products. The company’s products were seen as revolutionary when first launched but had experienced declining popularity over a number of years. Users of the software were becoming disillusioned at the lack of upgrades and poor customer support.

The International Group have a wide ranging portfolio of companies from Healthcare to Hotels. These include a recruitment advertising company called International Advertising. The business had a good reputation in the Human Resources Sector but wanted to expand into a full below-the-line marketing business.
The Project.
The Owner/Chairman of the International Group wanted to use existing resources to expand the focus of his recruitment advertising business into the marketing sector. The business already had a wealth of design talent and production facilities so the idea was to maximise the investment in these areas by expanding the portfolio.
