The International Group have a wide ranging portfolio of companies from Healthcare to Hotels. These include a recruitment advertising company called International Advertising. The business had a good reputation in the Human Resources Sector but wanted to expand into a full below-the-line marketing business.
The Project.
The Owner/Chairman of the International Group wanted to use existing resources to expand the focus of his recruitment advertising business into the marketing sector. The business already had a wealth of design talent and production facilities so the idea was to maximise the investment in these areas by expanding the portfolio.
Focus
- Establish systems and procedures for production of marketing materials.
- Recruit highly specialist staff including account managers, sales managers, designers and copywriters.
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategy.
Achievements
- Established a new team of staff and established the business systems while having minimal impact on profitability by winning business throughout the building process.
- Established a new asset management and distribution system which allowed agency and clients to share marketing assets across the Internet. This was a revolutionary concept at the time as agencies protected their copyright on all assets that were commissioned and paid for by their clients. This became a major selling point for the Agency.
- Introduced new business such as Renault Cars UK, Spillers Pet Foods, Hewlett Packard and Midland Bank.
Results
- The agency flourished showing a significant increase in turn by the end of the project.
- Recruited and developed a business winning team including, sales, technical, production and creative personnel.
